Rang de basanti ‘Paathshala- Loose Control’ lyrics (rebel)
January 17th, 2006 by Archana
With so many searches for the lyrics rang de basanti (especially loose control) coming my way, I decided to post the lyrics of this now-popular song composed by Rehman and penned by Prasoon Joshi, India’s top ad-film maker!
loose control! {2}
one more time!
loose loose loose control!
loose control! {2}
I am a rebel! {2}
naa koyi padhne wala. naa koyi seekhne wala {2}
apni tho patshala masti ki patshala {2}
loose control !
chehre ki kitabe hai
hum vo padhne aathe hai
ye surat teri, meri
mobile library
yaron ki equation hai
love multiplication hai
jisne dil kul jeeta hai
woh alpha hi theeta hai {3}
Loose control {2}
one more time
loose loose loose control
I am a rebel!
thaldee ho kar girne se
samjhee hamne gravity
ishq ka practical kiya
thab payi killarity (clarity)
naa koyi padhne wala
naa koyi seekhne wala
naata yei sannata hai
dekho lamboo shor hai
har dil mei gud gud kartha
H2SO4 hai
naa koyi padhne wala
naa koyi seekhne wala
apni tho patshala masti ki patshala {2}
apni tho patshala masti ki patshala {2}
I am a rebel!
Loose control!
{ roll roll roll roll roll
}
Rehman was his genius as usual but the breath of freshness to these songs, I believe, comes from Prasoon, the ad-guru, who continues to win people’s hearts and accolades through his lyrics (won an award for the lyrics in hum-tum) , jingles {he sings in most of his ads} and commercials! speak of talent!

February 6th, 2006 at 2:21 am
yaron ki equation hai
love multiplication hai
jisne dil kul jeeta hai
woh akpahe jeetha hai {3}
The last line is like
“Wo alpha hai tita hai”
and I believe its “apni to paathshala” and not “JO”
February 6th, 2006 at 2:22 am
And for those who lazy bums who yet have to download this great song, search for “Paathshala”

Utter crap this! Prasoon might soon be a junkie to have written something like this. Though this connects to many, but ‘loose’ is a bit loose here. And with H2SO4 in your hearts, all you get is a heartburn!
February 8th, 2006 at 6:23 pm
A lot of things happened while I read this:
1)I fainted thrice.
2)I contemplated performing harakiri, but thought it was too noble.
3)I had a sudden desire to pee. (inexplicable)
4)I discovered that the lyrics were taken from “Chacha Chaudhari and Raka”. (Written by Prof. Ramlal Anand)
5)The song made me realize that crap comes in tuti-fruti flavor as well.
Bye, gotta go…got peOplEs to kill.
February 10th, 2006 at 1:54 am
well well well! there is criticism and there is criticism..one plays it by the ear and the other plays it till you cant hear
February 10th, 2006 at 5:50 pm
he he he! i’d much rather not hear it the first time. do they have a device that blocks out things like this from the system??
February 13th, 2006 at 8:49 am

February 15th, 2006 at 1:55 pm

I’m not qualified to address whether the translation is correct, but I really think the word should be “LOSE” and not “LOOSE” - it’s very common for people to confuse these two words. Lose is a verb and means to “misplace, to suffer deprivation of.” Loose is an adjective which means “not rigidly fastened or securely attached, or not tightly drawn or stretched.”
So, then the question becomes is the word translated as ‘loose’ really a verb as in ‘to lose control’ (to be out of control) or is it an adjective as in ‘loose tooth’ [meaning not tight]. Several friends who I have asked are sure it should be “Lose Control.” I’m curious as to what you think….

~ Thanks Archie.

Good point Christy & Pavan..
Lose prbly sounds grammatically right, but again..
this is a loose translation
