We planned this trip a week ahead, was all excited ‘coz we never been to Las Vegas before. But things turned out in a different way. Yesterday (12th) we were looking for some good deals to stay in LV, the best Hotel/Casino.. we even decided which Hotel we gonna stay, but suddenly Uday said ” do you want to start on 13th? ” We never did anything important on 13th, so after exchanging some serious looks at each other, we decided to drop down and plan sometime next month.

Today morning, uday tells me that he would make reservation for the rental car.. my reaction was ” why book a car when we are not going to LV? ” to that he said “not to LV but we’ll go somewhere within the state” .. I agreed to it. Got ready by 12:00 p.m and made a call to Enterprise rent a car center.. to our surprise he said there are no cars available, called back again, but no luck. At this moment I made up my mind, we’d be spending this weekend at home. Uday then decides to call another rental car center.. this time we were lucky! Went to the center , signed the documents, picked up the car and drove back home. Uday told me that we are going to LV and immediately made the reservations at Rivera Hotel. So we printed the confirmation page and an again sudden thought occured to Uday. Lets start today night itself.

What?? You serious?? it’s 13th remember?? you still want to start today?? do you know what time is it?? its 8:15 !! was my reaction. “Yes” was his answer.. one word. .that’s it! I immediately packed our clothes took the directions and maps , ordered Biryani at the Indian restaurent, picked up our dinner and …. ready … set… go… we hit the road at 8:30. I couldn’t resist the smell of biryani, so I started off.. should say its too good! Then we started talking about our “un-planned” trips and how we actually enjoyed all. We never plan it well, just do it on the go… and should say it’s so much fun that way.

An hour passed and then 2 hours, I was kinda feeling sleepy, but didn’t want to ‘coz if I did that, uday might also doze off, but he gave me an order that I sleep atleast for an hour, so that I can drive the rest.An order is an order, havta obey.. I immediately dozed off. When I woke up, I got scared, what’s he doing?? is he taking the exit or hitting the sign board? Nothing that sort happened.. we followed the boards for lodging and in that whole locality that was the only hotel. Well its actually a ranch ‘Harris Ranch’.. we first thought that it would be a deserted place and at 11:00 will there be any rooms? We got lucky this time too.. we got a room immediately, parked our cars and .. *gasp* I was astonished when I saw the room… Exquisite!!! High rised bed, an Almora with TV inside, a reading table, leather reclining chair, spacious bathroom, a patio , a wine bottle in the fridge (Chardoney), coke tins and beer tins too!!! … the place is really beautiful.. ppl come here on weekends and go play golf .. which is a 45 min drive from this place.

Alrighty ppl, its 12:30 a.m and I havta go sleep now, ‘coz tomorrow I havta wake up early and its my turn to drive to Las Vegas. A big day tomorrow.. haven’t yet decided what we are gonna do tomorrow.. thought might go to Grand Canyon, but that itself is another trip. Let’s see how it
