Murphys Laws

June 27th, 2006 by taggy

In a given situatation if there are N number of ways things can go wrong then the situation wherein the damage is most shall happen.
i was reading this just a couple of hours before our demo ,result of the work that took 3 weeks and when it all came down 0 was the score.Everyone knew work had been done but it jus didnt get off. Dejected i went home and the next day morning i rebooted my comp and did nothing absolutely no change in the code, i just executed and it was all working :) .
And the best part of all thathappend the day before was the questions raised

0) why did th eapplication fail ?
Ans:It worked today morning .wonder why it didnt work .

1) WHen the application fails and th edesktop hangs . “why did desktop hang?”
Ans: i think some hardware problem my software hardly does anything with software.

no matter how dumb they sound :p these r the reasons u get ;)
finally today we got our appplication running :)
PS: long time at WOW!!! desperately patching up a post :P

    hey! welcome back taggy!

    sure does work..that murphy’s law..does nt it?!

Another classic example.. if there are five or six queues at the ticket counter, the queue that we pick seems to be going slower!

    another historical perspective..

Apparently, murphy, the man after whom the law was named, was a flight instructor in the Us of A. He taught his students at flying school that a plane’s control systems were complex enough that if something could go wrong, it most certainly would! So, he wanted to them to check and double-check to make sure it was OK to take off! Hence the name to the law!
