Here is an excellent compilation made from various home made videos that shows how youngsters respond to music. What is great about this video is that none of them are as good as the original artists, Shakira herself, but together they display the power of a “cohesive & Collaborative performance”.
Also, you will notice from time to time that there are guys dancing outside in the video. I wonder when some of your guys in India take up that spirit and do not mind doing some refined dancing, when they are not in a bar or in a party.

your ideas on india are really out dated. u should make a trip some time this side soon. i myself have learnt slow and fast waltz, jive, cha cha cha, quick steps and a little salsa. IMHO india is the same as the US. as long as you are interested in learning there are enough and more opportunities. And people are taking it up. Also it is not like very american knows how to dance

Thx for “updating” me abt India.
When I said refined dancing, I meant to hear back something abt KUCHIPUDI, BHARATA NATYAM, KATHAK, KATHAKALI etc.
I am glad India is the “same as America” now.

The little boy in the video was soo cute. I wish it had been how kids respond to music rather than youngsters [or should I say teenagers].
