Update:
I never celebrated halloween, but this time, I had to! Not really with friends but just at home.. and that too was unexpected! Well, I woke up today morning to have a glass of water.. while I was sipping I saw an object moving in my glass. Initially I thought it was my imagination and then suddenly it moved.. I thought it was some fly… but then again, before I took another sip, it came near my mouth.. that’s it! I put the glass back, switched on the light n saw nothing!! Looked again at the glass, but *sigh* there was nothing again! (may be it was my imagination) .. After few seconds I saw something on the table.. crawling!! I went close and OMG!!!
“It was a spider!! “ yukk!! yukk!!!
I looked around for my slipper to kill that damn spider and during that phase thoughts started pouring in… was that spider on my face all the time while sleeping? and suddenly jumped into the glass while I was driking?? or was it already there in the glass and I overlooked???
yikes!!! I will never forget this day! never ever~!
So, How was your Halloween ?
I found this interesting article on the net..

i guess now its time everyone write it down how and where they spent diwali ??
It is appropriate time for every one to share the joy
they had during this Deepawali.
To me 2006 Deepawali is a Special Deepawali,
which I enjoyed as a Grand father for the first time.
My daughter ANURADHA gave birth to a Female Child SANJANA on 17-7-2006.
My Elder son ARAVIND got promotion as Assistant Manager in
GE Capital International Services, Electronic City, Bangalore .
My Younger Son ANAND got transfer from Mysore Infosys to Chennai Infosys.
No doubt , my Joy knew no bounds, in enjoying this Deepawali
that too with my entire family.

Living more than 6 long years in Delhi, the hot bed of Indian politics, power, money and the best place in India for getting educated has made me sensitive towards many social issues. I remember how upset we used to get and also charged up, when we used to hear so many crimes against women. I don’t want to repeat the cases, as there are so many and remembering them makes me angry and upset.
But, today I felt a sense of satisfaction, hearing the TV news, that the culprit of Priyadarshini Matto case has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the high court. Priyadarshini was raped and murdered in January 1996 at her residence in the Vasant Kunj, South Delhi by the son of an influential IPS officer.
“The people were infact loosing hope in this case, when the trial court acquitted the killer of Priyadarshini. But, the credit goes to the family, the responsible citizens of this nation and the law who left no stone unturned in getting the justice I am thankful to all the youths who made a tremendous effort to keep the struggle alive and contributed in getting the justice delivered, though delayed. There have been communities on Orkut regarding Priyadarshini and Jessica which kept the youths motivated to conduct candle walks and kept the light burning in the minds of the people and the law. Beside, these all the people who used their blogs to write on such issues have definitely contributed in the “Rang de Basanti” effect.
Now, we are eagerly waiting for justice to be delivered in Jessica case and hope the law keeps itself flying high like the Matto case.

I was not sure why I chose this movie for the Friday evening get out but it turned out to be a good ride. Coryand from Taiwan claims the movie is not as intense as the original but I guess Scorcese intended to have that effect, with a ubiquitously funny Jack Nicholson playing the all powerful Costello and Mark Wahlberg’s in-your-face one liners that add to the levity.
Luckily for me, I did not watch the original and so, I can not comment on the lack of intensity or the depth of characters. However, I can say Leonardo more than makes up for the gravity end of things with a crafty transposition from a serious cop to a reckless renegade who tries desperately to step into his father’s shoes. To most mainstream American movie viewers, the movie is a thrill ride and its Imdb ratings seem to suggest the same. The movie even hit the Imdb top 250 as of today morning,
