‘My’ Andhra Cultural Festival
October 9th, 2006 by Archana
Most of you know that I was playing a small part in the Annual ‘Andhra Cultural Festival’ held by Silicon Andhra around the occasion of Vijaya Dasami.
It started out with a simple phone call from Anand Kuchibotla, founder/father of Silicon Andhra who happened to become quick & good friends with my dad as a part of their new & upcoming work in the health care field, nvaidya.
Now, I did not walk in expecting much but walked out with good memories and great friends ! I was part of a team that showcased the “Indian Bridal Saree”. We had a very young & energetic team filled with fun-spirited people like Mythili, Manasa, Kavya, Anusha K, Anusha M, Ramya, Srujana, Keertana, Gouri, Gayatri and Sravani. Girls! Thank you so much for keeping it fun & personal..xoxo !!
It is hard to explain what it meant in the end to me and I miss the challenge and effort so much. It was gruelling at times with the commute and long sessions but we held our hands together and stuck our guns. The result was ofcourse outstanding!
Here is a hot preview clip of our performance on stage. The poor lights may not do full justice to the work we put in, so I would want you to come back and watch the next video segment of the same show that highlights the ‘National segment’ - a part that shows the various traditional Indian sarees that women wear across the Indian sub-continent.

Hey Amit, it is more of a celebration of Andhra Culture than it is for Vijaya Dasami though it coincides with the timing.
Thanks for dropping by after such a long time dude
