Every time someone hears of nuclear fusion and light bulb in the same sentence, they probably would have been very comfortable linking the article to some 2050ish article/post in a sci-fi magazine but not any more! or atleast hopes so, a certain Mr. Kaw..

He thinks the technology in this field is finally maturing to produce some serious non-academic electricity ..

ITER (International Thermonuclear Energy Reactor) is the international organization responsible for this effort and, surprisingly or not so enough, India is playing a pivotal role in this process by some form of technological contributions (rather than cash ofcourse, duh!).
