This phenomenon called rajni is back with his latest movie titled his own name with a tagline thats true to his status here ( The Boss ) .As it happens with every rajni film ,there is anxiety ,talk over the undisclosed amount he has been paid for his work and the number of records it can break,which more of ten than not are records set by his own films.
Chandramukhi ,his last film was a clear example of it,grossing 100 crores and running in theatres for more than a year .


What makes sivaji even more special is the looks of rajni ,director shankar is always known for the pre releasy hype with his films ,we saw vikram dressed in weird costumes before anniyan got released and the same with rajni .The rajni that the stills show is the guy you would see his billa ,the dress and stills definitely bring to memory the more enrgetic,stylish phenomenon called RAJNI.

Its in this film that we can see some of the most prodigiously talented artists come together,shankar has always been the director with the midas touch ,AVM being the grandfather of all studios in south india ,Prabhudeva,raju sundaram for choreography,AR Rahman with the music ( His rap number is easily the best we have seen in some time ) and ofcourse all this apart you have rajni in the lead.

He is a brand in himself,at a time when you can see all the big movie starts going for advertisements trying to make every single penny they can with their skills and also get some exposure,rajni has surely stood apart in his own class and said a NO to any endorsements.

” If a brand name is about creating wealth ,stand for unique set of values and has a distinct personality and characteristics then rajni is definitely a huge brand ” for his presence brings crowds in to the theatre ,his audio means instant downloads by millions in to ther cellphone ringtones and yeah even coconut sales on the first day release.
Rajni also brings with him his own style that i bet you cannot see elsewhere ( forget the bollywoods) be it his style of throwing cigarettes ,his coat or his dances he adds a lot by himself given the fact that ” Laka laka laka ” in chandramukhi , a dialogue that was immitated by so many was rajni`s own idea .

Somehow i am just loving this film for it brings me back a rajni that i loved growing up with .A superhuman who can defend the good against all evils and sees to it that the good always wins over the evil .someone who can flip a cigarrete and ensure that half a milion youths trying to do the same ,someone whose one line repeated through in the film can be seen used even on a political stage ,someone who first scene in a film is greeted with 101 cocunuts ,thousands of little paper planes flying around,a sound in the theatre when even the speakers go mute come this may i will be there first first show
